Product description
Basically, the tactile units which are entered into the paving, come in two versions.
One is a tile unit with guideline or domes built into the tile to be put down together with the rest of the pavings. Whereas the second version is a solo unit which is mounted on top of the existing paving, and anchored with glue and / or nails. Both of these versions are manufactured in a number of different materials, described in the following sections.

Cast iron
Cast iron is an already well-known and recognized material in the street picture, for instance in pavings like gratings and well covers.
The quality of iron in which Pictoform® has been cast is equal to these regarding strength and durability, and will patinate likewise.
When the mobility cane connects with the cast iron unit, a different sound from that of concrete will occur.

All of these units have been cast on our automatic cast machine, which secures a very uniform surface; their limit of tolerance is as low as 0,5 - 1 mm.

The cast iron units are manufactured both as tiles and as flags.
The flags hold a standard height of 70 mm, and can be laid like ordinary flags of stone or concrete.
The tiles have a thickness of 8 mm and is laid in wet concrete.
Both of these units come in many different measures, with the most usual being for guideline units a measure of 100 x 300 mm, and the dome units in a square 300 x 300 mm.
The list of products contains the available measures.

Bronze and stainless steel
The units made from bronze and stainless steel are casted in special forms made from porcelain, which make the surfaces very uniform.
Both of these materials are acid proof and very durable.

Units made from bronze and stainless steel are designed to mount on existing paving.
The units are anchored with glue and nails, but will in special places be fastened to the surface by glue alone.

Concrete
The concrete units hold a standard height of 70 mm, and are laid together with ordinary concrete flags in which the tactile unit will be fit in. The concrete units will wear similarly to ordinary concrete flags.
